The Book of James

In this twelve-session series Francis unpacks the dense truth contained in the book of James, challenging followers of Christ to move beyond a private, intellectual knowledge of God and his word, to a vibrant faith that impacts every square inch of life.

Fridays:

The Gospel of Luke

Led by: Rach Brooks & Jonny Rose

Time: 1:00 - 2:30 pm

Venue: Zoom

Luke’s Gospel is the first part of a two-volume work, with the Acts of the Apostles being the second volume. Both books are dedicated to a person named Theophilus.

 

Luke wrote his Gospel so that his readers would understand that the gospel is for all, both Jew and Gentiles alike, since Jesus is the promised on of God as prophesied in the OT and as attested God’s saving activity in Jesus’ life, death and resurrection

Every last Saturday of the month we gather together as a church for breakfast and fellowship and then we pray and seek God for our communities, for mission, for the church and for each other.

8:30 - 9:00 Breakfast & Chat: Mark & Gill are now providing the breakfast in their home, so come and join them for a catch-up and chat before we begin to pray.

9:00 - 10:00 Prayer & Praise: We wait on the Lord to hear from Him and then pray out the things that He lays on our hearts.

We will still have the Zoom link open for those who can't make it in person.

Every month we choose a new book to read and have a lively discussion about the one we have just finished.
