Our morning church service usually last about an hour and a half. The morning service starts at 10:30am. We like to keep things simple and informal, so no need to come all suited up, just whatever you feel most comfortable in.
We start with a welcome and some announcements, followed by a time of worship, midway through the worship we pray for and release the kids to go out to Kid's Ministry, we then worship some more. Then there’s a talk based on the bible and our experiences of following Jesus that’s practical and relevant to everyday life. After the talk, there’s an opportunity to be prayed for.
Gill Visser will be leading us through this Connect Group. Landmarks will help us discover and deepen our individual spiritual journeys. We will learn to recognise God’s unceasing action in our lives and begin to discern His will. We will learn to go deeper with God while learning more about ourselves and the God-seed in us, and to make decisions in the freedom and knowledge of God’s grace and love.
This isn’t a course to “tick off” and say, “Done that,” but an introduction to a lifestyle that will bring us closer to God as we learn from Him and one another.
Are you ready to go on this journey of discovery? It will involve worship, prayer, listening to God and one another, searching the scriptures, meditating and journaling our experiences. Please bring a journal with you so you can record what God is saying to you as we wait on Him.
Mike and Jo Sutton will be leading the Building Authentic Church Connect Group. Our prayer is that by taking part in this group you will gain a greater sense of God’s call for you to participate in ministry within the local church and that you grow in this.
We will cover topics such as:
• Leadership styles
• Listening to God’s call
• Learning to hear the rhythms and timing of God
• Social justice
• Caring for creation
• Spiritual growth
• Discipleship
• How we live in community
We will draw on material from a number of books, including the Vineyard’s Tri Robinson’s ‘Rooted in Good Soil’, as well as a number of stories from the Bible.
We’re feeling excited about how God will work through this.
We are instructed by Jesus to go and make disciples of all nations. What better way to do this than to be out on the streets of Purley bringing the presence of God to the streets and people of Purley. Every other Saturday we have a team made up from a number of churches in Purley waiting on God and then taking the presence of God to the people of Purley. John Wimber said, "The meat is on the street" so join us and learn to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and get to pray for and with the people of Purley.

A monthly meeting for those in the 20 to 30 age group, where they get together for fellowship, to encourage and build one another up. Each month it is hosted at a different venue, but overseen by Mike and Jo Sutton. It is not a meeting that replaces the weekly Connect Groups, but adds to it.
